True story: I didn’t realize how much power I had until I figured out that I had the power to control my own behavior/performance/outcome just by changing my thinking. Of course I always had this power but it honestly took me a while to figure it out! I unpacked my thinking and guess what I found?
There’s a default setting that was running my thinking! I defaulted to thoughts like “I could never do that” or “I’m not smart enough”. They were playing on repeat throughout the day, dictating what I attempted or avoided. I realized there was a direct correlation to my thoughts and the results I produced…. so I looked closer and guess what I found…
My thoughts were not based in fact, they were based in fear, which meant they were not true!
My thoughts were not based in fact, they were based in fear, which meant they were not true! They only became true when I BELIEVED those thoughts and acted on those beliefs! I changed my thinking from “I cannot do that” to “I can figure it out”! I changed “I am not smart enough” to “I’m a fast learner”! Those thoughts put me back in control of my outcome and it fosters confidence and positive self image and overall satisfaction and well-being.
Turn off the default setting in your thinking and get your power back! If your thinking has defaulted to a pattern that limits you, examine your thoughts and change your thinking.
